Scheduled Downtime / Maintenance

Dear Customer,
We have come across a few issues with the new hardware that your account is currently hosted on that were not apparent in our initial testing.
It is for this reason that we are working with Hewlett Packard to replace some hardware components and perform additional tests to ensure that you are able to fully take advantage of all that our new hardware has to offer without any unscheduled downtime.
To do this, unfortunately, we will have to schedule a few hours of downtime. .
This scheduled downtime will take place on the night of Sunday through Monday, October 26th, beginning at 2:00 am and ending at 6:00 am. You should not experience more than 4 hours of downtime for your website(s) and you may check our progress at all stages on our news site: http://pipolife.com/home/news.
If you would like more specific information about the testing we will be doing to ensure that the integrity of your service remains intact, please read on!
Essentially, we believe that there is an issue that causes random service drops under situations involving high loads. HP has investigated the issue with us over the past two weeks and believes that the issue could either be a mismatch in firmware between the storage controllers and the disk shelves, or a malfunctioning controller.
Once CP9 services are offline, we will perform a synchronization of the firmware throughout the system and perform a 20-minute stress test to see if the problem persists. If it is no longer present, we will immediately restart CP9 services. If the problem continues, we will replace both controllers and re-run the tests. Regardless of the outcome of the second tests, we will restart CP9 services at the conclusion of these tests and keep you informed.
We certainly apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you and will keep you informed of every step on our status blog. We are certain that the benefits of this downtime will be worth the resulting improvements and we sincerely hope you’ll agree!
